Palaruvi Falls is a waterfall located in Kollam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the 32nd highest waterfall in India. Palaruvi falls from a height of 300 feet and is situated at Aryankavu in the Kollam district of the south Indian state of Kerala.Palaruvi Waterfalls, which literally translates to ‘Stream of Milk’, comes down through rocks from a height of 300 feet. This has turned into a delightful picnic spot where one can enjoy a spectacular view uninterrupted.

Shendurney Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in the Western Ghats, India, located in Kollam district of Kerala and comes under the control of the Agasthyamalai Biosphere Reserve. It was established on 25 August 1984 and comprises 172.403 square kilometres. The name is a corruption of the Chengurinji, a tree endemic to the region. The sanctuary has an artificial lake of nearly 18.69Sq.km size and also surrounded by the reservoir of Thenmala Dam.

Courtallam is situated at the Western Ghats in Tenkasi District. Courtallam, which is pronounced as ‘Kuttraalam’, had a population of 2,368. It is often referred to as “Spa of South” & “Poor man’s paradise”. The best time to visit is mid- June to September and October-January. It is on the way to old Courtallam. It is around 1 km away from main falls. This is a artificial created falls where they are mostly preferred by children. It is also a very safe place to take bath but only at peak season water availability is there.Untouched by commercialization, Tiger Fall is a favourite attraction among basic trekkers as well as a remote picnic spot for friends.

Main Falls is very near to bus stand and is the major falls which is almost 50 metres wide and the falls from a height of almost 100 metres is a spectacular sight to watch. The Falls is near Courtallanathar temple and is having a good parking area. The places are maintained by Courtallam Town Panchayat and is nestled with Banana Chips shops and tea shops which is a favourite for tourists who come here to take both. Also the Falls is opened 24 hours during peak season

As the name suggests five falls during normal season the water gets divided into Five Falls and is clearly visible of the Falls splitting into five parts. Now five falls is around 4 km away from the main falls and is nestled deep in the western ghat mountain. Road connectivity is good and a very good parking area is also available. The five falls is adjacent to the Courtallam Eco Park which is maintained by the Horticulture department.

Peraruvi is located in the center of Courtallam and it is the biggest falls about 60 meters high. It is one of the natural and spectacular waterfalls in the world. It is advised to drink some quantity of this water while taking bath as it contains medical properties. As soon as, one takes bath here, the person feels rejuvenated; both his mind and body will be fresh. This herbal water can cure various digestive problems and urinary problems, if the patient takes bath continuously for 6 months.

After a legal battle the Forest Department got the rights to operate the falls and it was opened to the public from July-19 2019 by charging Rs.6 per person. The falls will remain open from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm. The falls is near to main falls and is inside forest area…parking facilities are not available. So its better tourist go by walk. Only few can take bath at a given moment. These falls are preferred by children

Honey falls is 1000 feet above mean sea level. It is high above Shenbagadevi falls. It is deep inside forest. It is not easily accessible. Only experienced trekkers can reach this spot. The way near honey falls are filled with honey comb and so the name. The falls is a small one. Permission to tourist has been stopped due to safety reasons. This falls is for the adventure and extreme sports lovers.

Shenbagadevi Aruvi is situated 600 feet above mean sea level. Visitors have to trek on the hilly terrain to reach the falls. Added attraction here is the Temple of Goddess Shenbagadevi. Now the falls comes under forest area. Permission is denied to commo public because of the place coming under KMTR as well as safety reasons. The fall is 2Kms away from the main falls.

It is located at a distance of 10kms from Kutralam near Sengottai. The journey to these falls winds through green pastures and scenic surroundings. You can reach this place by travelling 2kms inward from the Gundaru Dam. Only sturdy jeeps or SUV’s can travel up the rugged mountain path to reach this waterfall. Apart from the tiny shacks selling fresh roasted fish, there are no other eateries all along the way.

Kasi Viswanathar Temple in Tenkasi, a city in Tenkasi district in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu, is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Constructed in the Tamil style of architecture, the temple is believed to have been built by Pandyan ruler Parakrama Pandyan during the 13th century, with later additions from Madurai Nayaks. Shiva is worshipped as Kasi Viswanathar and his consort Parvathi as Ulagamman.
